Government & Public Authority Data Request Policy

This policy describes how Jaiura LLC (the “Company”, “we”, or “us”) handles requests from government bodies, law enforcement agencies, courts, and other public authorities for personal data of our users. It supplements our Privacy Policy and applies to every request we receive, regardless of the requesting authority's country or the form the request takes.

1. Escalation

Any request from a public authority for user personal data is escalated to the founder/technical lead before any response is made. No employee, contractor, or service provider is authorized to disclose user data to a public authority on our behalf.

2. Legal Review

Each request is reviewed for legal validity — including jurisdiction, legal basis, and scope — before disclosure is considered. Where feasible, legal counsel is consulted before we respond.

3. Challenging Improper Requests

Requests judged unlawful, overbroad, or improperly served will be rejected and challenged through available legal means.

4. Minimum Necessary Disclosure

Where disclosure is legally compelled, only the minimum data necessary to satisfy the specific request is provided.

5. User Notification

Where we are legally permitted to do so, we will notify the affected user at their registered email address before or promptly after disclosing their data, so that they may seek their own legal remedies. We will not provide such notice only where we are prohibited by law or a binding order from doing so.

6. Record Keeping

Every request, our assessment of it, the legal reasoning applied, the parties involved, and our response are documented and retained for a minimum of five years.
